Tucked into the mountains of the Central Andes, Baños is a pretty little town that has become somewhat of an outdoorsy traveler center. From here, it is possible to arrange many types of Baños tours including hiking, rafting, horse-riding, off-road motor biking and a whole array of other activities to please adrenalin-loving types.

For the less adventurous, the town itself is worth a little amble for a few hours, and the local hot springs, with the backdrop of a towering waterfall are definitely on the cards. A half-day trip can be arranged from Baños to the local waterfalls, of which there are several heading down the road to Puyo and the jungle. Devil's Mouth is the most spectacular, about an hour out of Baños. To get here, it is necessary to take a short hike, but it is worth the walk.

At night time, a visit to a view point to watch the explosions of the local volcano, Tungurahua is an amazing trip. We can take a chiva, a colorful bus and drink canelazo (cane alcohol) which is sure to warm up your insides.

Please note that from time to time the volcano is active and during these periods Baños is closed. Please be aware that this is a risk of booking Baños tours, and at the time of booking, alternative options will be laid out in case of problems with visiting Baños.
